Life is an enormous physical and mental challenge. And the more we can learn from the experience and wisdom of others, the more we can avoid potential dangers and disasters.
In Lessons Learned along the Way, author John B. Hill pulls from over three decades of working with both small and large United Methodist churches to offer guidance for how to live and lead as disciples of Jesus Christ.
In chapters such as “It’s Never About What It’s About,” “Above All Else Know Thyself,” and “You Don’t Have to Swing at Every Pitch,” Hill shares twelve powerful proverbs that relay various poignant truths gleaned from his wide range of experience and how they were directly applied in his ministry.
Whether it’s navigating personal relationships, finding meaning and purpose in life, or the importance of reading, these insightful nuggets will both encourage and inspire you in your daily life.
In the vein of John Ortberg, Bill Hybels, and Mike Slaughter, this unique resource is an essential addition to the library of anyone interested in finding better ways to live and lead.
