Abby Trombley is a freshman at Wake Forest University. She grew up in Chicago, IL and Shelburne, VT where her family currently lives. She was a dual-enrollment student at her high school and the University of Vermont, which allowed her to graduate high school at age sixteen and thus take her gap year before college. During her childhood and teenage years her passion was riding horses and she competed successfully in the hunters and equitation. At Wake Forest she rides on the IHSA and IDA equestrian teams, serves as the Fundraising Chair for Girl Up and participates in a bipartisan political discussion group. She plans to major in Political Science and International Affairs with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. Her dream is to work in the State Department one day.
