The boy’s life is spared, and he grows into a man bold enough to confront the terrible evil behind the Prince’s throne. Will he survive or become fodder for the Strangle Rats? Will he have a future with Hildegard, the servant girl he loves?

Jack Holden was born and educated in England. After leaving college, he spent a total of twenty years in Spain, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Holland working in the publications industry. In 2002, he moved to the USA and, in 2013, he left corporate America to indulge in his passion for writing fiction. Jack and his wife live near Baltimore, MD.
