(Alex)ander T. Rooker has been a published author since 1996. A former church lay reader, his spirituality now is best defined as non-denominational. The evolution of his perspectives on life began with having traveled extensively as a child- attending 13 schools from first through twelfth grades. He attended a variety of church denominations as his parent’s moved from Norlina, NC to Anchorage, Alaska- and on to multiple other locations. “There is”, he says, “a commonality of concepts among the religions, which should, really, not be surprising.” Alex’s first vision of human death was that of the casket of his stillborn brother, Robert Macon Rooker. “I knew death firsthand at age nine. The image of the little casket, framed in the glow of flesh toned pole lamps, remains with me still. From that experience I understand all too well the need for helping a child understand death in the context of life.”
