Marcus Valerius Martialis (commonly referred to as Martial), was a Latin poet who lived during the 1st and 2nd centuries A.D. He is best known for Epigrams, and he remains one of the most widely read Roman poets nearly 2000 years after his death. This edition, from Bohn’s Classical Library, includes the fourteen books, and epigrams ascribed to Martial.
