Steven D. Staugaitis, Ph.D. Dr. Steven Staugaitis is on the faculty of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Department of Family Medicine and Community Health where he provides support to the E.K. Shriver Center, Center for Developmental Disabilities Evaluation and Research. Steve has over 40 years of direct experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and in administering local, regional and statewide programs and services. He is a licensed clinical psychologist who has managed large I/DD facilities and regional support systems serving people with disabilities. Steve has been a consultant to a variety of state and private provider I/DD organizations within the United States, providing technical assistance, training and support in the areas of risk management, program and systems evaluation and quality assurance and improvement. He has been a principal investigator on a number of federal grants, including a grant from the National Institutes of Health (#5 R42 HD063179-03) that supported the development of the series of on-line courses entitled: Risk Management in DD.
