We live in a day in which much has been written on leadership that has helped readers become knowledgeable and some, better leaders. I also make my humble contribution to the same in the hope that it will impact and change the lives of many by adding my comments from the sixteenth book of the Bible, the book of Nehemiah. The book of Nehemiah offers great insight and a firm foundation to anybody who aspires to be a ruler and to those already in leadership positions because it is based, in my opinion, on one of the greatest governors or state man who ever lived. The book of Nehemiah is a book I recommend that all who are in governor ship read. Why study the life of Nehemiah in light of governorship? Because Nehemiah occupied the governor ship position of a governor in the land of Judah and his life, manifesto and work during the time he was governor brought unprecedented positive reformations to the people in Judah. Nehemiah is a man every ruler can learn from and emulate since few leaders today have an exemplary role model whom they can look up to. In relation to the life of Nehemiah, this book highlights some of the areas that are key in leadership that will help motivate, challenge and transform the mindsets and actions of today’s leader.
