A family is caught up in a battle for souls. Ideology, deceit and murders dominate proceedings, as the family tries to stand up to the old foe. Generation after generation is defeated, after a brief smell of victory in between. The standoff continues with the second generation returning to their father`s faith. Yet, the old foe and his followers continue launching deadly attacks on the family. Some of the tricks are old and some new. At times, they are questioned about their faith and its link to colonialism. Strategies develop overnight in their minds as they struggle to survive against the majority. The majority, quiet when the family succeeds, relaunches the missiles on them when they are down. John and his mother, who commits suicide become major casualty, with John becoming a Schizophrenic. John`s battles with Schizophrenia reaches epic proportions, as first the majority and then his own family abandon him to the mercies of a self-centered world. The family reads books at a faster rate than before and devours music and movies in an attempt to cope up. The local culture encourages promiscuity and the family`s woes continues. To succumb to temptations or not, is the question. There is no light at the end of the tunnel it seems. Discussions and discourses continue on the side, to decide which culture is superior and could fix the problems of the world. For the family, all these cultures are alien and those beliefs unfathomable. They try their very best to promote their own beliefs with little hope of any relief. All this while, there is around them a daily count of men lost in body, mind and spirit. Some of John`s followers take it all personally, and take the law in their own hands. To them, win or lose, they are furthering the kingdom of God. Only time will tell, whether the family will succeed or the world around them. Or is it going to be the end of the world?
