If it doesn’t work, we can’t possibly be worse off for trying. My quest may continue indefinitely. This little book contains my notes from the path. It isn’t at all serious. It won’t make you feel like a failure as a parent, and it is not a book of instructions. It’s lighthearted encouragement to keep on giving your best, to laugh at your mistakes and to forgive yourself and your kids along the way. Maybe we can love this life together, not with perfection achieved, but in a real live messy human way, with ups and downs, falling and failing, and getting up and taking flight.
