Synopsis
“Watson," said Inspector Lestrad, "in all my years with the Yard I've seen a bit of everything. I’ve dragged bodies from the Thames and dealt with every sort of thief, murderer and swindler. You put a name to it and I can tell you a tale, but I've never heard of a more cruel and inhuman case than this." Children are missing. Street urchins, whose absence raises no alarms until young Davy Wiggins seeks the help of Holmes and Watson. Holmes quickly picks up the trail. It leads them first to the Holborn Toy Shop—an innocent looking establishment that hides a terrible secret and great danger.
