Thunder split the sky like a whip crack over the plains of the Sahara, a celestial herald trumpeting the beginning of the storm. All births were beautiful and magical, but none had such an impressive backdrop as this one would. This birth was different in one other respect; it would have no witnesses, well no human ones. Soon a child’s cry began almost matching in pitch the thunder as it continued to roll across the sky. In the centre of the sacred stones the child continued to cry although its whimpers were becoming less as the child became accustomed to its surroundings. Elihuru (The Giant) had entered the world and it would not be the same again. Thousands of miles away in a land that none knew existed, but had been there before the beginning of recorded time and would perhaps be there at its end, another birth was occurring, but not only was it expected it was being celebrated. Diadamed Morningstar had arrived. Two babies destined for greatness, either great evil or great good. The only certainties were that they would be great.
