Synopsis
JoFel needed to get rid of this bounty hunter soon. He couldn't afford to let her know where he was camping for the night. Even if she was a very attractive woman. He had already stayed in this area longer than he should have, thinking that the local stories of the undead and wisps would keep anyone chasing him away. But now this female elf had tracked him down as he returned from his last supply run. He could tell she wouldn't be easy to get away from. Especially with part of him hoping she would never leave him. He had been alone all his life, and now as he looked into Ilies's eyes he never wanted her to leave. Something in him called out to her, recognized she belonged to him somehow. Only time would tell if he could overcome his past, and learn to trust someone with his life. Ilies was the best that had ever been trained by the Tracker Guild. None alive could evade her, and she had her sights set on this handsome young human male. The bounty on JoFel's head was more then she could have earned in a lifetime, and maybe enough to buy her redemption. But something about JoFel was bringing up long buried emotions and desires. He was dangerous to her... in more ways than one. She could feel an odd familiarity about him, as if she should have known him intimately. There was a very primal drive to stay with him, protect him and see to his survival. None of this new feelings made sense to her, and she wasn't about to let them ruin her perfect track record... Or was she? Ancient's Law is the first installment of the Ancient's series. Set in a medieval time frame, the series revolves around a group of adventurers who are pitted against mythical monster, traps, deities, and dark magic. They are hunted down by bounty hunters and assassins at every turn, and unknowingly watched by an ancient evil.
