It is designed to be used by preachers, teachers, catechists and indeed anyone who would like to reflect more deeply and prayerfully on the gospel passages which are used on Sundays and Feast Days. The commentary is designed for use in conjunction with the Roman Catholic Lectionary for Sundays and Feast Day, but will also largely correspond to the gospel selections in the Common Lectionary as well. Reflections for each liturgical occasion are preceded by a number of questions for readers to ponder, hopefully prompting deeper reflections on what will often already be familiar passages.
