Christine Davis Easterling's new book, The Miracles of Jesus, examines each of Jesus's miracles in the context of history, geography, scripture, and spiritual interpretations. She includes lessons and activities to help young people apply the inherent messages of the miracles to their own lives. She gives special focus to the Gospel of Mark, where we see Christ actively sharing God's grace with his people through healing and deliverance. Jesus gave his followers a Great Commission: go out into the world, baptize new believers, and educate them. Today's young people want to make a difference. In examining the miracles of Christ, they will see how he took up his own mission in his lifetime. What better way to inspire them to follow suit? This book specifically addresses teaching strategies for engaging and retaining millennials.
