About The Artist Shannon Grissom grew up in a musical household, and her youth was spent in all manner of musical activities. She didn’t discover painting until she was 33, but boy she hooked! Inspired and driven, she’d get up early each day to paint for a few hours before the start of her workday. This demanding schedule was worth the effort. By 1999, she was able to leave her day job, and began to do her art as a full-time business. And thus began the amazing ride… At 44 she began production of the television series, Give Your Walls Some Soul. Her instructional painting series grew from an audience of one station to over 50 stations across the country, and over 10 million households, winning numerous awards. At 46 she published her first children’s book Monkey Made of Sockies. From that book grew a line of licensed merchandise. The popular Monkey Made of Sockies golf club headcovers have become a global bestseller and LPGA players have carried them on tour. Today she’s an award-winning artist, television producer/host, songwriter and author. Her artwork is licensed and sold globally, and she has now come full circle. She’s currently working on her third music CD. She sees art, music, writing, and multimedia, as movements in her own unfinished symphony, and she always did like to paint big.
