Donald Macfarlane MD, PhD is an elderly hematologist at the University of Iowa. He has published many scientific articles, started three companies and lost a lot of golf balls. He shares his life with wife, cats, dog, the odd horse and a children's choir. His two children, professional musicians, are kindly raising his seven grandkids
