Erin Wigginton, CPDT-KA has been training dogs professionally since 1999. She owns Helping Hounds Training, LLC in her home town of St. Charles, MO which serves the dog owners of St. Louis and St. Charles Counties. Erin is a professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, the Greater St. Louis Training Club, The Pet Professional Guild, and other professional organizations. She has written articles for The APDT's Chronicle of the Dog and Animal Wellness magazine. In 2015 she developed a volunteer training program titled Dog University for the St. Louis County Pet Adoption Center in which volunteers learn how to train the dogs in the shelter (most of which are pit bull mixes) in order to help them get adopted into permanent homes. Erin lives in St. Charles, MO with her husband, Jason, their three children, two pit bull mixes, and three cats.
