This book describes the ancestors and descendants of Neva and Kenneth Bower. Hans Michael and Catharine Bauer, their great great great grandparents emigrated from Germany to the United States in 1791. Hans Michael and Catharine became indentured servants on the estate of Samuel Wallis in Central Pennsylvania. Through succeeding generations until 1920 the Bauer/Bower family was involved in farming. After 1920, family members began working in factories and shops. In the early 1930's, Carl Bower and eventually his children, Neva and Kenneth, moved to the Baltimore area and began life in a metropolitan community.
