From the book: "The Three Questions help us to develop a habit of softness and openness to our experience. We want to rest with our experience of being in the body, of being in the world with some openness and some sanity. We do this by cultivating our ability to be here without discursiveness." Designed as a guide for students new to and experienced with yin yoga, the Three Questions provides a structure for working with our mental experience in poses. Using traditional Chinese medicine as a basis for sequencing, the book provides six practices. When done in order and consistently, the practices help us become more friendly with our experience on the mat and in life, as well as providing an opportunity to build physical and mental flexibility.

Stuart Rice has been a student of yoga for over a decade. Beginning in a vinyasa-style inspired by Shiva Rea and Andrey Lappa, he slowly began to gravitate towards the intersection of Buddhism and yoga exemplified by teachers such as Sarah Powers and Cyndi Lee. He teaches and practices in Tempe, AZ, where he hopes he contributes to Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche’s vision of a sane society aware of its basic goodness.
