Synopsis

Every working mother knows what it feels like to leave the house before her child wakes, to miss her child's classroom party, or to arrive late for a dance recital. In this delightful new children's book, Tera F. Howard, MD answers the question, "Mommy, where are you?" that so many children of working mothers have asked countless times. This feel-good and educational book introduces children to the concept of working motherhood, and in doing so, celebrates the diversity of careers in which women thrive. This wonderful little story is the perfect read for children and working mothers everywhere.

Tera is a physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology in Birmingham, Alabama. Having delivered hundreds of babies, she has witnessed the undeniable and instantaneous love that a mother has for her child. A devoted wife and mother, Tera knows firsthand the demands of career and motherhood. Like many working mothers, she hopes her career in service inspires her own children to make a difference in this world.

Tera is also the author of Mommy, What's That? which teaches children the basic parts of the human body while inspiring them to use each part in a positive way.
