Synopsis

Do you know, deep in your heart, that there's more to life - but you don't know what to make of that feeling? Why not travel the world, and learn just how right you are. Laura Goor believed that there were dreams, and there was reality, and the two could never be combined. Until she landed her dream job on a cruise ship, and experienced more in life than she ever imagined. She learned to listen to her inner voice, follow her heart, and live in the present moment instead of continuously reliving the past. Combined with making good, conscious choices, she found a path to make her dreams come true.

Join Laura on a journey through hardships, heartaches, and challenges. Taking the road less travelled led her to places beyond her wildest dreams. Battling and overcoming her shortcomings helped her to find her inner strength, and move on to the next level of her life- a life that most can only dream about. The lessons she shares along the way reveal a more incredible, heartwarming, and peaceful place than anywhere an airplane can fly. Bring an open mind, and join her for this collection of stories, and her journey of self-discovery.

À propos de l'auteur

LAURA GOOR was born and raised in a middle class neighbourhood in Toronto, Canada, to parents who immigrated from the Netherlands in the late '50s. Her curiosity, constant yearning for more, and inability to settle for what was, led her to a near quarter-century career on cruise ships. She has been blessed with an extraordinary life, and a multitude of lessons along the way.
Laura retired from cruise ships five years ago, but has continued to travel the world. When not travelling, she lives in Toronto with her mother as a seasonal roommate.
