Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book introduces a new system of numerical notation and numeration based on the radix of eight instead of the traditional ten. It is called the Octimal System and is designed to simplify mathematical calculations and make them more accessible. The author contends that the decimal system is not scientifically sound and presents a system that is both mathematically precise and practical for everyday use. With this system, measures of weight and volume are harmonized, and complex calculations in fields like astronomy and navigation become straightforward. This book explores the benefits of the Octimal System and provides a guide for its adoption in various fields, arguing that its simplicity and efficiency will make it the notation of the future. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
