This book is a detailed geological survey of the East Lincolnshire region, comprising the southern half of the Lincolnshire Wolds, as well as the country near Louth, Alford, and Spilsby. It describes the geology of the area from the Kimeridge Clay to the top of the Middle Chalk, in addition to glacial and post-glacial deposits. The author has adopted the subdivisions established by Professor Judd for the Lower Cretaceous rocks of Lincolnshire, including the Tealby Beds for the Middle Division. The book also contains a full description of the various divisions of the Chalk in this region, comparing them with those established for Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire.
