Excerpt from Proceedings of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of the State of California at Its Annual Convocation, A. I. 2424
The Grand High Priest appointed the standing committees, and delivered his Ah nual Address. He welcomed the companions and congratulated them upon the prosperous condition of Capitular Masonry in the jurisdiction. He is thankful to an nounce that during the past year none of the officers or members of the Grand Chap ter, or the subordinates of the jurisdiction, have crossed the dark river. He, however, reports the loss of many eminent companions of sister Grand Chapters, and adds his sprig of acacia in sorrowful recognition of the broken links in the fra ternal chain which unites us all as companions and brethren.
The Grand High Priest reported his executive duties for the year and predicted for the Grand Chapter a prosperous and successful future.
