Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book investigates the physical basis of climate and its variations, forming part of a comprehensive study of the global atmospheric research program. Groundbreaking in its scope and scientific rigour, this book is structured in three parts: a summary of the main conclusions and recommendations, a discussion of the physical basis of climate and climatic variation, and a survey of past climatic variations and the projection of future climates. The author emphasizes the importance of paleoclimatology to the comprehension of both natural and man-made climatic variations. This book will prove invaluable to students and researchers in meteorology, climatology, hydrology, and oceanography.
