The present revision has been made to include recent progress and develfment in the art of energy control as applied in the generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy. The chapters onS torage Batteries, Potential Regulators and Lightning Arresters have been supplemented by descriptions of European apparatus and practice, as it is believed that knowledge of such practice will be of interest and value to American Engineers. The entire book has been corrected and revised to accord with present practice and has been brought fully up to date. The author desires to express his appreciation of the kind reception accorded the first edition.
