Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book presents an analysis of two movable bed experiments that are part of a series of ten detailed experiments conducted as part of a project investigating the causes of wave height variability in coastal engineering laboratory studies. The two experiments analyzed here have also been discussed in earlier reports, but this book takes a more detailed look at the development of the profiles in these experiments and the relationship between profile development and reflection variability. The results of the experiments suggest that wave height variability is a result of a complex relationship between profile changes and wave reflection, and that tank width and length, as well as water temperature, affect laboratory profile development. The author also finds that under common laboratory conditions, profiles approach equilibrium more slowly than normally assumed. This book is written for laboratory researchers and engineers in charge of model studies and will be of use to field engineers in the analysis of model studies. It is an important addition to the body of knowledge on laboratory effects in beach studies and provides valuable insights into the challenges of using laboratory experiments to model real-world coastal processes. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. N° de réf. du vendeur 9781528216029_0
