Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book explores the concept of a rotating scatterer in a rectangular cavity. The author begins by discussing the use of small resonating plates as stirrers. However, they observed that to create a uniformly random environment, they needed to shift the eigenmode frequencies and that this shift was more pronounced when the scatterer was large. They postulated that the key to an effective field perturbation lies in shifting the eigenmode frequencies. A simple numerical simulation was used to check the impact of eigenfrequency shift, which exhibited a uniform feature when the field was averaged over all possible stirrer positions. The author then used the Transmission Line Matrix (TLM) method to examine the eigenfrequency shifts associated with a more realizable stirrer. This book highlights the importance of eigenfrequency shifting in designing effective stirrers for mode-stirred chambers, providing valuable insights for researchers and practitioners in electromagnetic compatibility testing.
