Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. A thorough examination of the flow of various Montana streams is the objective of this book, which employs measurements made from 1912 to 1913. The author relied on data collected by the US Geological Survey, the US Reclamation Service, and the US Forest Service, in addition to their own field research. The rivers are grouped by drainage basin, and data is presented in the form of tables for monthly and yearly discharges in cubic feet per second and acre-feet. Calculated runoffs in depth of inches and acre-feet are also provided. The data presented in this book supplements that which was published in the Fifth Biennial Report, which contains a similar summary of all measurements made prior to 1912. Together, these two resources provide a valuable historical record of Montana's stream flows, and will be a useful reference for water resource managers, engineers, and anyone interested in the hydrology of the state.
