Peter Sarris is professor of late antique, medieval, and Byzantine studies at the University of Cambridge. He is author or editor of eight books on the history of late antiquity, the early Middle Ages, and Byzantium, including Justinian: Emperor, Soldier, Saint. He lives in Shepreth, UK.
