Improving humans’ skills is a task which psychologists are often requested to address. The question is: How the enhancement of capacities can be reached? Alessandro Antonietti is full professor of psychology and the head of the Service of Learning and Educational Psychology and of the Research Centre on Vocational Guidance and Professional Development at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, Italy. He carried out experimental studies about learning, thinking, and creativity. He investigated the role played by media in cognition. He is interested in the applications of cognitive issues in the field of instruction and rehabilitation. He devised tests to assess thinking skills and programmes to train cognitive abilities.
