Robert Parker grew up in the 1950s when it was okay to roam the fields and buildings of Moat Farm. His mum and dad held its tenancy from the Tyntesfield Estate in Wraxall, near Bristol. Tyntesfield House is now a well-known National Trust property and Moat Farm has become the award-winning Noah's Ark Zoo, a unique hands-on zoo and working farm just outside Bristol. Robert, having retired from manufacturing industry, is the author of this series of three books of short stories set in the farm buildings and fields of his youth. He has also published five picture books in the Turbo the Tractor series: Corky the Cockerel, Bernie the Belly Goat, Edie the Elephant, The Mystery of Bradley's Ring and Clarrie's Holiday.
