Vicky Ford has been a lover of books all her life. From Archie comics, Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys during childhood to trashy novels propped up behind her Math book in high school, Vicky read everything. After marrying her high school sweetheart they started their family a few years later in a small town in Northern British Columbia, Canada. Life was busy with 4 adventurous, curious children, each with their own weird ways. And so the stories began. Stories about princesses, little ones pretending to be kitties and elephants and taking night time walks just to see the stars in the sky took shape easily. The rich and imaginative lives of our young ones are made for fun stories that just have to be shared. And, as they are read to other children, they can relate so easily because the stories are taken from their own experience of the world. Vicky’s first piece ever sent out was one submitted to Chicken Soup For The Soul’s Angels Among Us. Her story of how her little girl was saved from harm was accepted and published. Vicky continues to be inspired, not only by memories of her children while they were young but now her young grandchildren.
