Scott Roederer is the author of Birding Rocky Mountain National Park and The Compleat Angler’s Catalog. During his career as a public educator, he spent his summers flyfishing and birding and sharing his love of those pursuits by instructing and guiding others. He and his wife now spend summers in the Colorado Rocky Mountains enjoying mountain bluebirds, western tanagers, and green-tailed towhees. In the winter, Gambel’s quail, cactus wrens, and verdins entertain them in the Sonoran desert of Arizona. They travel for birding at every opportunity.
