Synopsis

With an Army career spanning three decades and three continents, D. A. Borges brings unparalleled authenticity and intimate knowledge to the subject of this novel. He has worked in Operations and Plans on the Army General Staff in the Pentagon, and was the Chief of Force Development at U.S. Army Pacific Command. He was assigned to the 21st Theater Army Area Command in Europe during the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Gulf War and Balkan Crisis. He’s also served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers including as HQ Deputy Chief of Staff, and Chief of Staff at their Pacific Ocean Division. Borges holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Duquesne University, and has been a Senior Executive Fellow at Harvard’s JFK School of Government. He’s is also a graduate of the Syracuse/Johns Hopkins Universities National Security Studies Program. He’s been a Senior Policy Advisor at the Worldwide Office of The Nature Conservancy. His current writings deal with the nexus of water, energy, climate change and national security.
