James D. Collier earned his B.S. Degree from Indiana State University in PA, and a Masters Degree from Syracuse University. He also completed all requirements for a PhD excepting the completion of the dissertation from the University of Maryland. After serving a tour in the Army, he taught advanced science courses to gifted high school seniors the suburbs of Washington D.C. for 15 years before commencing a career with McDonnel Douglas and the Boeing Company in the Aerospace Business. He spent over 20 years with missiles, commercial planes, tactical fighter jets, helicopters, the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station. Jim has written during much of his professional career, but since his retirement he has written over 500 poems, three novels and a book of short stories. Several of these are now available from Amazon and KIndle.
