Synopsis

ANOTHER STEP A New Purpose is a collection of 74 devotions read over the past ten years to residents of health care facilities. Originally written as children's sermons they have been revised for adults. Nancy's illustrations accompany each lesson. Hopefully, ANOTHER STEP will help others connect with older adults.

À propos de l'auteur

Nancy Herrell Lockwood has been drawing and painting for most of her seventy-five years. Li’l Critters, Nancy’s children in disguise, were created in the seventies. Several critter stories were published in the Cumberland Presbyterian during husband Bob’s seminary education in Memphis. While Bob pastored churches in east Tennessee Nancy prepared and delivered the children’s sermons, combining faith, facts and fun. After retirement these mini-sermons were revised for adults and read to residents of health care facilities, ANOTHER STEP. So well received by residents and staff, Nancy decided to offer this collection for reading to family and friends. Large Print will be available soon. Failing eyesight has almost ended the artwork, but saved images have found a new purpose. Most of the illustrations are from her fifty-year stash of drawings and paintings. Nancy and Bob live near Lenoir City, Tennessee. Their blended family includes five grown children, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. They enjoy time in their little sanctuary in the woods, reading, writing and volunteering.
