In this crazy office drama, the whole staff of a small Nashville training development company is shocked by the news of 9-11. Buddy, a training materials writer, is a closet Quaker, and while 9-11 jolts him too, he has a different perspective on it than the others. He desperately wants to do something to turn the world toward peace, and conceives of a wild scheme to manipulate the caricature redneck boss, Harold, into assuming the role of prophet. He persuades the girl Harold has hired for sexual favors to bring him to Buddy’s remote cave hideaway, and works on Harold's head and fears there with an elaborate ruse. The scheme explodes when Harold becomes convinced he’s the Second Coming and has the divine right to take over and rule the world. He converts the company into a PR agency to promote his mission. Their schemes for that, while creative, fall flat, along with Buddy’s original hopes.
