Is the book of Revelation the biblical book for the twentieth-first century due to the growing interest in apocalyptic? The unfolding work of God's justice is displayed. Fellowship with the martyrs, the servants of the Lamb, is of special significance. The Apocalyptic Heart traces these themes based on particular moments in the text of Revelation and explores their meaning for the present.

As an Anglican priest Ron Browning has ministered largely in disadvantaged urban areas within Australia as well as taught theology. His published works have been at the interface of Christian theology and social studies. Since the year 2000 he has been deeply involved in the Karen refugee community in Australia, Myanmar and Thailand.
