Today you are going to learn how to dissect your challenges and perceive them properly. Proper perception will leverage your mindset towards success. Don’t confuse this with the power of positive thinking. For instance, how many of us have watched “the Secret”. How many of us understood it and applied it? We made the vision boards, wrote one million dollars on a dollar bill and framed it, wrote that hundred thousand dollar check to ourselves. When we pulled up to packed grocery store we rode around in circles believing to get a good spot only to end up parking at the end of the lot. Something so phenomenal seemed like mere theory and words, better yet a hoax. The problem isn’t in the law of attraction. The problem lies in your need for direction to translate theory and words into your core beliefs. Then taking those beliefs and exercising them. Which will lead to concrete evidence. Incorporating the Law of Attraction was beyond your league. You can’t see success because you are looking out and not looking in. You keep examining what you see in life and not what you see in yourself.

As a young woman, I journeyed through life searching for my true identity and purpose. At the age of 19, I gave birth to my first child. Determined to provide the best life possible for my daughter, I went on a roller coaster ride of entrepreneurial opportunities. I was guided by uplines who promised me riches. Never feeling connected to the products, I would lose motivation and move to the next big thing. I found myself at the same point, starting over again while simultaneously working for myself as a hair stylist. This journey lasted for over twenty years. The relationships I developed shaped me into the woman I am today. By the age of 22, I realized I was doing more than hair. I had the opportunity to feed the spirit of many women. It then became intentional for me to give “an experience” each time a client came for service. They never went out the way they came in. The spirit of compassion flows deeply in my veins. It is the life force that drives me. When I assist others to find their passion for life, I gain more fuel to keep living. Being a Life Coach is my destiny! In my past, I have endeavored to be awesome, but sometimes I fell short. Given up to my paternal grandparents at 18 months, I have dealt with the idea of rejection since birth. This mindset hindered many relationships. As a pregnant teen fresh out of high school without a safe place to live, I understand the hardships of survival. I know what it means to have little to no self-worth because I lost the opportunity to obtain a degree. Needing to file for bankruptcy, I know embarrassment. Married and divorced in a whirlwind, abusive relationship, I know too well what it feels like to perceive myself as a failure. I comprehend guilt and shame. More important than these experiences and many others, I KNOW HOW TO BE AN OVERCOMER. Blessed by the influence of many great men and women, here I stand as a fearfully and wonderfully made woman, as God intended. Today, my successes far outweigh my minor shortcomings. I am proud to say I am a mother of five. At age 33 I obtained my BS in Business Administration from Lindenwood University. I have been with my current husband for ten years as of 2016. I am blessed and have love and support. Having received the gift of Love, I graciously offer it to others. I am grateful; I will leave a legacy of high self-worth, compassion, and achievement.
