Francis D. Hauser received his PhD in electrical engineering in 1972 from the University of Denver.

He is currently a dynamic systems analyst of the motion and control of spacecraft, watercraft, aircraft, and land craft.

He lectures for undergraduate, graduate, and continuing-education courses on topics ranging from Newtonian mechanics to linear algebra and automatic feedback control theory.

Hauser’s other published works include Excel with VBA for Engineers and Mathematicians and The Golden Ratio: The Facts and the Myths.
