À propos de l'auteur

Dr. Scott Thomas Cairns: Spiritual Lineage Since very early childhood, my spiritual journey had been a purely solo journey. In January 2001 I asked the Divine to send me a teacher - I prayed to meet with and study with Dr. Wayne Dyer's guru who had taught him the "Ah Meditation" - Dr. Bhaskaran Pillai. I met Dr. Pillai in London, England in late May of 2001. In early-September of 2001, Dr. Pillai initiated me - a life changing experience. I am first non-Westerner to be initiated in the Tamil (South Indian) Siddha tradition/lineage. Dr. Pillai was a student of The Maharishi amongst other masters. Dr. Dyer calls Dr. Pillai “one of the most enlightened beings on the planet.” The lineage of the Tamil Siddha Masters includes Agastya, Thirumular, and Swami Ramalingam. My personal journey has included working with the Christ Consciousness energy, chanting and sacred sounds, alchemy, Freemasonry, Celtic spirituality astrology, hermeticism, the rainbow body of light, tantrism, Tibetan Buddhism, the Western Mystery tradition, the Christian Mystics, etc. My PhD, in International History, was awarded in 2005 by the London School of Economics - London, UK. As a college educator I have taught courses in Eastern Religions, Comparative Religions, History, Political Science, Health Care and Public Administration. My Musical Lineage Richard Wagner’s student, Anton Bruckner Bruckner’s students, Gustav Mahler & Alexander von Zemlinsky Zemlinsky’s student, Arnold Schoenberg Schoenberg’s students, Anton Webern & Alban Berg Webern’s student, Stefan Wolpe. Wolpe’s students Prof, David Holzman (a 2003 Grammy® nominee) and Prof. Carl Strommen whom I had the honor of studying with at Long Island University for my MA in Music Composition and Music Theory. As a guitarist I had the honor to study extensively for 7 years (mid-1980's to early 1990's) with jazz guitarist Billy Bauer who was a student of Lennie Tristano. Bauer recorded with Tristano, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Billie Holiday, Lee Konitz, Warne Marsh, amongst other jazz luminaries. Bauer was featured in Woody Herman’s First Thundering Herd and Benny Goodman’s 1950’s bands. In the early 1980’s, I studied guitar with Steve Silverman a student of Billy Bauer. Silverman taught guitarist Steve Vai. While living in London UK, I studied flamenco guitar with Juan Martín who Guitar Player magazine has named as one of the top 3 guitarists in the world. Martín studied under Niño Ricardo and Paco de Lucía.
