The author graduated cum laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in chemical engineering and has over 30 years experience in heavy industry with extensive exposure to water treatment, process engineering, maintenance and management. He has owned a pool and/or a spa for much of his adult life and spends a lot of his spare time helping friends fix their pool problems. His reason for writing this was to help people spend more time enjoying their pools while spending less time and money keeping it working.
