Richard is a retired CPA and attorney who always wanted to write. He has written business and legal documents all his professional life and scribbled during his private time. He dreamed of writing a novel but it was not until he discovered the National Novel Writing Month program that he finally made the commitment to try to write a novel. In addition to writing, Richard loves barbecue, so much in fact, that he owned and managed a barbecue restaurant in Boaz, Alabama for a number of years.
