Barbara J. Pickett MCA, DD, runs a Consulting and Estate Liquidation Service based in Los Angeles, California. She is a Master Certified Personal Property Appraiser (MCA), a Member of the Appraisers National Association (ANA), the Antiques & Collectibles National Association (ACNA) and is an Alumni of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). She completed the Core Course in Appraisal Studies and the Antiques & Residential Contents course through the International Society of Appraisers (ISA). She finished the Quilt Judging Classes through the National Quilting Association (NQA) and Quilt Appraising Classes through the American Quilter’s Society (AQS). She holds a Certificate in Costume and Textiles Collections Management from California State University, a Bachelor Degree in Physics and a Doctorate of Divinity with emphasis in Spiritual Counseling. Barbara has held a life-long interest in Antiques and Collectibles and enjoys helping people through their major life transitions. When other kids in her neighborhood were running lemonade or Kool-Aid stands to make some spending money, Barbara was holding toy sales and outselling the liquid competition! Barbara has published articles about Antiques and Estate Sales in magazines such as Collector Magazine in California and the Antique Register in Arizona.
