THOM RING is the author of THE RED RACECAR series of motor-racing adventures for young readers. He covered racing for a number of daily newspapers across New England and published Shorttrack magazine, which featured the sport in the region. He's served as Technical Editor for Trackside magazine as well as a senior editor for Late Model Racer and New England correspondent for Late Model Digest. Previously he covered sports for the Attleboro, MA, Sun Chronicle. He also has worked with survivors of traumatic-brain injury for over 25 years, helping youth and adults enter or reenter the workforce. Ring lives in Rhode island with his wife, singer-songwriter Jan Luby.
