Tampa Oral Surgeon Dr. Ted Grellner, as a college student, endured a bad experience with a wisdom tooth. Little did he know then, that he would be devoting a career in dentistry to finding multiple ways to improve the dental and oral surgery experiences so his patients could avoid what he suffered through. While part of the solution was realizing the importance of correctly timing wisdom tooth removal to make it a much more pleasant experience, another was developing a quick recovery IV general anesthesia technique that was both pleasant and safe. For lost or missing teeth, he has incorporated advanced computer technology into the process of replacing them with dental implants. He has 30 years of experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMFS) in the USAF, USAF Reserves, and private practice. He is also a Courtesy Clinical Assistant Professor in the Dept. of OMFS at Univ. of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville, Florida. He has appeared on ABC, FOX and NBC stations to share his dental expertise.
