Synopsis

Two high school freshmen are having a difficult time finding their way at Harrington High. Kyle and Cory have been friends since kindergarten, and they've been through a lot together, but high school has been more of an adjustment than they expected. Their grades are sub-par, their social life is very sub-par and the highlight of their day is meeting in the library to discuss their latest gaming accomplishments with other outcasted freshmen. Getting pushed around in the hallways, being called out for daydreaming in class and seeing their lifelong 'girl friend' Lisa McPherson, get called-up to the Populars with upperclassmen, hasn't made life very pleasant for either of them. But all of that is about to change when they make the discovery of a lifetime at a neighborhood estate sale. Who knew that one fateful afternoon in their sleepy and homey neighborhood, that Kyle and Cory would stumble into something much bigger than their Principal's office at Harrington High. In fact, nobody knew that Dr. Heizel, one of the most advanced scientists of the 1970's and 80's was residing secretly on their street, while conducting his highly controversial research on 'Symbio-Technic-Co-Processing.' Severely limited by computer processing models of his day, Dr. Heizel set out to find a way to access the ultimate computer processor for his experiments; the human brain. This would require integrating manmade hardware with the human central nervous system. The CIA and FBI had only received rumors about the project. The East Germans and Soviets were interested, and it was suspected he was contracting with them. It was the 1980's and tensions of the Cold War was at its peak. Inter Continental Ballistic Missiles were stationed in silos and ready to launch in both directions (U.S. and in the Soviet Union). Only the order to launch was needed to initiate a global full scale nuclear holocaust. But those days are long gone, or are they? It seems that Kyle and Cory's discovery resurrected some cold war interests, and the FBI begins to wonder if things won't disintegrate into a Cold War II. Kyle and Cory quickly realize that their daily struggles are about to change dramatically, from classroom substitutes to international agents. Their sleepy town setting was perfect for Dr. Heizel to work secretly, but they will soon find themselves in one of the most internationally historic and cosmopolitan cities in history. Their adventure is just as educational as it is thrilling.
