Jackie works as a webmaster for a drugs charity in London. In her spare time she helps out at animal charities, plays guitar, and takes her dog (a very furry Finnish Lapphund) for long walks in the country. She also works as a befriender for a UK eating disorders association. Jackie lives near London with her two daughters. They give her LOTS and LOTS of material for her writing so much of what's in her books is based on the real-life ups and downs of being a teenager.
