27th July 2015. 11.13am Received a text message.....the words that leapt out were :- "I have just been diagnosed with breast cancer." Beverley, her husband Derek and I shared a friendship forged over time through a mutual love of their garden, music, art and poetry, but also a most unusual ingredient....humour. This book is a diary of limericks, and the best that I could do under the circumstances, for although I write poetry I have never had to compose a limerick. All were sent by text. Beverly wishes to remain anonymous and I respect her wish. Apologies for some of the content but they are nonsense rhymes, but with a purpose. There is no intent to cause offence in any form.
